FAQs

  1. How can I get assistance from TALA ?
In order to receive assistance from TALA you must be a member. Once you are a member, we will look at the circumstances of your case and determine whether it can be handled by one of TALA's staff attorneys or pro bono volunteers.  If we cannot assist you, we will do our best to refer you to an attorney who may be able to help.

  1. Are there any reasons TALA may not be able to assist me?
While TALA does its best to help as many clients as possible, TALA reserves the right to reject a client's application for assistance for a variety of reasons, including:

  • The matter may require too much time to be resolved on a volunteer basis.
  • Unavailability of volunteer qualified to handle a particular request.
  • You may not meet our income guidelines.
