Nonprofit Tax and Accounting Workshop

The next tax and accounting workshop for new arts nonprofits will be held on Wednesday, October 21st, 2009 from 5 pm - 7 pm at the TALA Office (1540 Sul Ross Street, Houston, TX 77006).  These sessions are designed to provide information on bookkeeping, tax, and accounting  issues related to nonprofit tax-exempt organizations.  There will also be time for questions, answers and discussion during the session.  This session will be presented by Kathy Ploch, CPA, of Zientek and Assoc.  Please contact < info@talarts.org > to reserve a space.

A FREE afternoon of music, films, readings and visual arts brought to you by the nonprofit arts organizations of the Menil community.
Come over to the TALA office from 4 pm - 7 pm and view the wide range of drawings, prints, and paintings for sale.  TALA will also have wine, fruit juice, and kid friendly videos playing in the office.  The Menil community will hold a scavenger hunt and raffle drawing for fabulous prizes donated by each organization!  Various events will be held in the Menil area throughout the afternoon culminating with a screening by Aurora Picture Show at 8 pm.
