TALA Staff Attorney Erin Rodgers will lead an informative session designed for those interested in forming a tax exempt, nonprofit corporation, covering the basic function and structure of exempt organizations, bookkeeping and tax issues related to exempt organizations, and other pertinent information. There will be time for questions and answers during the session. This program is free and open to the public and will now be hosted at the offices of SWAMP. SESSION 1- STAYING ALIVE – TOUGH DECISIONS FOR TOUGH TIMES
We at TALA strongly encourage all of our member organizations to consider taking part in the United Way and TSCPA Foundation’s upcoming seminar, STAYING ALIVE. The first of three parts, STAYING ALIVE gives you the opportunity to bring your board members and introduce them to an array of issues and options that may prove critical to your sustainability. Covering everything from Bylaw updates, Governance Issues, Policies, Procedures and that catch all “best practices”. Presented by Cory D. Halliburton, of Weycer, Kaplan, Pulaski & Zuber, P.C.

To all of our artists who will be donating to this year’s Gala, THANK YOU! We have revised the drop off times. We will now be accepting art from 10:30am until 6:30pm Monday through Wedneday beginning September 19. All drops offs will be at the TALA office. A more detailed listing is below:

October 3, 4, 5: 10:30am–6:30pm
